Tara or Arya Tara, also known as Jetsun Dolma in Tibetan, is a female Buddha typically associated with Buddhist tantra practice as preserved in Tibetan Buddhism. She is the "mother of liberation", and represents the virtues of success in work and achievements. Tara is a tantric deity whose practice is used by practitioners of Vajrayana to develop certain inner qualities and understand outer, inner and secret teachings about compassion and emptiness.
The White Tara specifically is known for compassion, long life, healing and serenity. i did this painting for one of my very dear friends who has helped me open up my eyes and heart. this is the least i could do for him and his wife in my own little way  the image itself took me on and off of about 2 months. it's about 4 feet in legth (yah another poster) and took an incredible amount of time to just open and save. my poor comp  please enjoy! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
