ok, so many of you have requested that I do a photoshop tutorial on how I paint my hair...so here it is 
while it's pretty much step by step, a lot of it is experimentation with brushes and what feels right to you. don't be affraid to create your own brushes and textures and above all EXPERIMENT! 
oh, and please excuse any errors...I suck at spelling...that's why I'm a designer
