Artist's Comments

The second in my series of Kimonos. Originally ink stippling which I scanned in and added a splash of color in Photoshop.

Very lovely work, the attention to the subtle details is really great. The subtle splashes of color really add nicely to it, and I love the simple way you've given texture and depth to the hair. I like the slight shading on her skin to give it a sense of depth, but it doesn't quite blend with the look of the clothing, I think perhaps a different grey-ish tone (something closer to the look of the stippling shadows on the kimono) or a bit of a rough texture to it to blend it in with the feel of the ink, rather than computer smoothness, would bring it together nicely as a whole.
