OMG i've been working on this on and off for ever...and now i'm so sick of it i hate it. somewhere along the way my concept got twisted, trampled, chewed up and regurgitated by the photoshop daemons and it resembles nothing like what i had intended it to be.
there's a little story behind it but it's very loosely based on no logical facts or research whatsoever in other words i have no idea what the mask stands for and so on...so there's this young princess and she's locked up in her tower/room/whatever all the while there's a grand festival going on outside. she's all decked out but can't leave the room...aww how sad...cry.cry.bleh you get the point. and why is she floating? idk...dramatic effect..maybe.
anyways, i'm posting this, but just cause i'm sick of it doesn't mean crap, maybe you guys will enjoy it
cheers!

Very nice! I really like the colors you used and the patterns on the dress is a very nice addition.
Ya I know what its like to get 'stuck' on a picture. You hate working on it and no matter what you do it just does not look like you had imagined... its incredibly frustrating.... lol
But to my eyes it turned out beautifully, so don't let it get you down, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. ^^

Actually, I like it better than some of your others for it's originality and mysteriousness.
The mask is an interesting aspect of the picture, considering how you feel about it, and how unresolved the story is. All that is hiding behind the mask. I want to pry the mask off and see what's behind it. As much as it's a mask, it looks like her face all the same, as the expression is how you'd imagine her to look.
I like her body language too. Her body faces one way while she looks over her shoulder at you. She looks both submissive and defiant. It makes me imagine that she was looking out that window, watching the festival, looking for an escape, daydreaming? But then someone walked in and interrupted her.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
